As it was described to me, Performance Polish is a great alternative to gel. If you are already familiar with the Miniluxe, you know that they specialize in a natural nail experience and the Performance Polish line is meant to enhance your typical manicure by being a longer-wearing wet polish that dries and lasts like a gel manicure. The best part is that it's non-drying (to your nail) and completely removable with regular nail polish remover so you're not married to booking an appointment if you don't have the time. Durable but non-committal?! It almost sounds too good to be true but I assure you, it's not.
After a busy morning at the studio, I made my way to Brookline where I was greeted and seated for my mani-pedi. I chose a dusty rose shade for both because I feel weird when my hands and toes don't match. I was directed to an elevated bench perched atop a sink-like tub and eased into my pedicure while I snapped the photos you see in this post. As expected, the experience was very relaxing and, dare I say, therapeutic.
What I really enjoyed about Miniluxe was the ambiance. With a uniform and clean backdrop, the salon feels exactly how a place called "Miniluxe" should; a small dose of the extravagant. Runway shows moving tastefully in the background, a gorgeous color palette and accommodating staff.
I highly recommend Miniluxe to any city girl looking to partake in a little self-care or treat for a friend. The Perfomance Polish is especially worth it if you tend to be harder on your hands or are pretty physical. If you think you might be that kind of girl, mention The City Girl's Guide and Miniluxe Brookline will treat you to a FREE Performance Polish upgrade so that you can rave about it too!* (And if you are so tempted, feel free to tell me so in the comments below.)
