in season: august-edition

This is post that has been cooking for a while (no pun intended) but after a recent conversation about “eating well”, I’ve done quite a bit of thinking about what that really means and how to do it. With the help of two recent reads (Jolene Hart’s “Eat Pretty” and Hannah Bronfman’s “Do What Feels Good”), I’ve made it a creative project to be more mindful about what I’m buying, preparing and eating. But outside of my own research, I also know that the best way to eat “right” is to also do so sustainably. After a quick search, I learned what grows and when so I can stock my fridge accordingly. Since P and I got our own place, it has been so fun to create fresh, healthy dishes based on what’s in season.

And it doesn’t have to be a lot of work. I’ve even taken the liberty of finding some of the tastiest recipes on the internet that I’m looking forward to cooking up this month!
