so fresh, so cln.

Since learning more about the regulation (or lack thereof) of the cosmetics industry last year, I've been much more conscious about what I put on my face and on my skin. It feels like the only products I can trust are natural brands with natural ingredients. But so often with these products, you really lose a lot of the performance quality that you're used to and don't see the same results. But not with CLN & DRTY.

These are a few of my favorite things.

These are a few of my favorite things.

I met founder and owner Paula over a creative network we are both a part of. She was looking for influencers to help spread the word about her brand and when I realized she was another Boston-area #citygirl, I knew I had to work with her. She graciously sent me two pieces from her brand to try out and I quickly became hooked.

A little bit about CLN & DRTY: "I've always been interested in going the more natural route for food and beauty products. They just feel better in and on my body. I've also been pretty crafty and have always dabbled with DIY around the home. After I had my daughter (who is now 2), I started becoming more serious about natural products around the house...", says Paula. As if her d.i.y. attitude about skincare isn't kick-ass enough, she has developed an entire line of effective, high-quality natural products that don't sacrifice performance for safety. From fragrance to blemish sticks and bug spray to anti-aging oil, Paula has built up her own apothecary of luxury that people can feel good about using.

What I tried: Rosewater Micellar Water for Dry Skin & Rosewater Facial Mist | Anyone who knows me and has asked about my beauty routine knows that micellar water is one of my must-have items. I happened upon it a few years ago looking for a non-drying toner and honestly bought it by accident. With the ability to balance out your skin tone and hydrating properties, it earns its spot on your shelf but after using the CLN & DRTY version, (and even after I had already washed my face,) I noticed the micellar water was still grabbing dirt and impurities I had somehow missed. Rosewater, which helps maintain your skin's pH balance and control oil, is one of the greatest homeopathic things you can try. The facial mist was no different. I have a pretty, ahem, *busy* day job but at the end of the day I look forward to washing my face since its the one time I can really focus on caring for it. CLN & DRTY's Rosewater Facial Mist has anti-inflammatory properties which soothe long days in the car, short nights of sleep or gently set a made up face and now I don't know how I lived without an all-natural version. With both of these products, I look forward to taking care of my skin, not thinking of it as a chore. It's rewarding to know that while I'm taking care of my skin, I'm doing it in a way that isn't harmful in the slightest.

A HUGE thank you to Paula for sending me these products for free in exchange for an honest review. Be sure to check her/ CLN & DRTY out on Facebook, Instagram & Etsy! #shopsmall
